Privacy Notice

Effective July 21, 2026 · Version 2026-07-21

Orion is fully local. OrionOS, Inc. does not receive Customer Content and therefore does not and cannot collect, access, store, retain, use, or disclose it.

1. Fully local

Orion is a fully local desktop application. Workspace files, documents, matter information, prompts, conversations, citations, narratives, and generated outputs are Customer Content and remain on the user's device.

OrionOS, Inc. does not receive Customer Content and therefore does not and cannot collect, access, view, store, retain, index, analyze, use, disclose, sell, or train on it.

2. Phone Access

Phone Access does not change the above. When Phone Access is enabled, OrionOS, Inc.'s relay passes end-to-end encrypted traffic between the authorized device and the user's desktop. The content is decrypted only on the user's desktop. OrionOS, Inc. cannot decrypt, inspect, or access the Customer Content passing through the relay.

3. External AI providers

Outside the encrypted Phone Access path described above, Customer Content leaves the device only when the user invokes a non-local AI provider. The necessary request is sent directly to the selected provider, not to or through OrionOS, Inc., and is governed by that provider's terms and privacy practices. Local AI processing sends no Customer Content off the device.

4. Diagnostics

Following a crash or unexpected application failure, Orion may create a diagnostic report locally and prompt the user to review it. The report contains no Customer Content. Orion does not transmit the report.

OrionOS, Inc. receives a report only if the user separately and affirmatively chooses to provide that specific report to Orion Support, such as by attaching it to an email. Each report requires a new user action. Orion has no automatic-reporting setting, standing permission, or continuing consent to transmit diagnostic reports.

5. Limited operational information

Separate from Customer Content, authentication, licensing, update, and Phone Access services may process limited account, organization, seat, application-version, device, certificate, security, and routing information required to perform those functions. This operational information does not include Customer Content.

6. Contact

For privacy questions, contact Orion Support using the contact identified in your Order Form, subscription, or support materials.
